Hello and welcome! My name is Maria Duran, and I am the owner of MDV Education & Care. MDV was formerly known as Linder Educational Coaching, and when I had the opportunity to continue this work, I knew I wanted to keep helping students succeed.
Over the past five years, I’ve supported students in a variety of roles, from babysitting and tutoring to academic coaching, and most recently as a part-time Spanish teacher. These experiences have deepened my commitment to supporting the whole student, not just their grades. I’m also pursuing a graduate degree focused on expanding access to mental health support in education.
I’ve seen firsthand how having the right connection can make a real difference in a student’s academic, personal, and home life. One of my favorite parts of this work is celebrating milestones, whether it’s earning an A on a test, improving a grade, or sharing an extracurricular achievement. I especially enjoy helping students develop routines, organization systems, and planning strategies, skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my nephews and nieces, reading, and exploring nature. Whether I’m supporting a student through executive function coaching or at The Homework Hub, this work is not just my career; it’s my passion.
